AB  - <p>Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune rheumatic disease, principally affecting women during child bearing years and is characterized by the presence of auto antibodies against a variety of auto antigens such as double-stranded DNA, intracellular ribonuclear proteins and membrane phospholipids. The presentation of lupus erythematosus ranges from a skin rash unaccompanied by extracutaneous stigmata to a rapidly progressive lethal multiorgan disease. A wide spectrum of oral mucosal lesions is found in the cutaneous and systemic forms of lupus erythematosus. We report a 11-year-old female child with classical features of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus associated with oral mucosal lesions.</p>
