Special Issue Information

Background information and history: Pediatric dentistry and orthodontics continue to have a keen interest in the development of the craniofacial structure in children and adolescents. The traditional approaches are revived and reinterpreted as new ways of examining dental, skeletal, and craniofacial development in children and adolescents are regularly developed. Dental anomalies are many and have a significant impact on a child's development, and the process of tooth emergence still needs to be thoroughly studied. Furthermore, the therapeutic approaches for dento-maxillary abnormalities correction throughout growth are planned to affect and guide craniofacial development in the best and desirable manner.

Scope and objective of the Special Issue: This Special Issue's goal is to educate readers and other authors about the various techniques that can be employed to affect a child's or adolescent's synchronized craniofacial growth and development. As well as examining dental anomalies and eruption discrepancies in children and adolescents, this Special Issue intends to present numerous techniques for determining the dental and skeletal ages of children in various groups.

Modern research: New findings about the physiology and pathology of tooth eruption, dental anomalies and how to treat them, and the adaptation of various techniques for determining dental and skeletal ages in different populations all represent significant contributions to the literature. In daily practice, new knowledge about dento-maxillary anomalies and how to treat them would be very helpful.

What kinds of papers are we looking for? Research articles presenting the epidemiology of dento-maxillary abnormalities and eruption inconsistencies are being accepted for this Special Issue. You can also submit original publications that look into dental eruption, dental age, or skeletal age. Regarding the aforementioned subjects, review articles and case studies are also welcomed.
