Pulp Therapy in Pediatric Dentistry

Pulp therapy remains a cornerstone of pediatric dental care, aiming to preserve the vitality or function of primary and immature permanent teeth affected by caries, trauma, or developmental anomalies. With advancements in biomaterials, diagnostic tools, and clinical techniques, the field of pediatric pulp therapy is undergoing a paradigm shift; moving beyond traditional approaches toward biologically-based, minimally invasive, and patient-centered care. This special issue welcomes original research, reviews, and case reports that explore contemporary challenges, innovations, and evidence-based practices in providing pulp therapy for children. Topics of interest include advances in vital pulp therapies; the use of biocompatible and bioactive materials in pulp therapies; innovations in diagnostic methods; pulp therapy in children with special needs; long-term clinical outcomes of various pulp therapies; histological and in vitro studies on pulp tissue response; artificial intelligence and digital tools in pulp diagnosis and treatment planning; and curriculum or educational approaches in teaching pulp therapy.
